Degree-Seeking Students



Through 做厙輦⑹'s Pathways, we'll focus on getting you into a career that's right for you. Whether you're unsure of what you want to study or you know exactly what kind of future you want, take the analysis. You'll discover your interests and career possibilities, which will help you connect with the right programs and people at 做厙輦⑹.

It is recommended that your application be submitted at least two weeks prior to your start date to allow completion of your enrollment steps.

  • You will need to create an application account if you don't have one already. To create your account, be sure to use an email address you frequently check, as your personal Admissions Rep will contact you immediately to help you through these steps.
  • After you have logged in or created your account, click on "Create a New Application".
  • Make sure you choose the right start term: Summer starts in May, Fall starts in August, and Spring starts in January.
  • You will receive an email letting you know your application has been submitted.
  • Your my做厙輦⑹ account is created within five business days after you apply. You'll receive an email letting you know your account has been created.

Transfer students

  • Follow the steps above to submit an application.
  • It is recommended that transfer students submit official transcripts from all previously attended institutions so that credits may be transferred.
  • Request transcripts immediately to avoid enrollment delay.
  • Allow up to 20 business days for processing of official college transcripts, upon receipt.
  • Transcripts can be submitted via secure electronic PDF (student-recordsFREELARAMIE) or mail (1400 E. College Drive, Cheyenne, WY 82007). Transcripts must be sent directly from the institution or arrive in a sealed envelope to be considered official.

Get Help Paying for College

  • To receive financial aid, you must be a degree-seeking student
    • Transfer students: to receive financial aid, all official transcripts must be received. Transcripts must be evaluated before aid will be awarded.

Placement at 做厙輦⑹

Placement information is what ensures that students are taking the classes that will help them be most successful. 做厙輦⑹ primarily uses high school GPA, high school equivalency, or ACT scores for placement. To prevent delays or limitations when registering for courses, it's best if you have submitted your transcripts and/or ACT scores before you meet with your academic advisor to register.

  • 做厙輦⑹ will accept unofficial high school or high school equivalency transcripts for placement purposes. 
  • College transcripts must be official in order for courses to be transferred. Transcripts must be sent directly from the institution or arrive in a sealed envelope to be considered official. Allow up to 20 business days for processing and evaluation of official college transcripts, upon receipt.
  • Official high school and college transcripts can be submitted via secure electronic PDF (student-recordsFREELARAMIE) (official transcripts only), or mail (1400 E. College Drive, Cheyenne, WY 82007), or a hard copy can be turned in by the student.

  • Your my做厙輦⑹ account is created within five business days after you apply. You'll receive an email letting you know your account has been created.
  • To log in, navigate to .

  • Once youre logged in, look for the New Users Guide for more assistance!
  • Once you are admitted, all 做厙輦⑹ correspondence will be sent through your official school email only (which can be accessed in my做厙輦⑹).

Navigate will help you with all of your next steps at 做厙輦⑹. You'll receive all sorts of guidance and information to get you started at 做厙輦⑹, plus reminders about important dates and steps to take before and after you've enrolled.

You'll have a Navigate app in your my做厙輦⑹ account, and we also recommend that you download the Navigate app for your smartphone to make the most of this helpful tool.

 
  •  Once you've submitted your transcript(s) you are ready to connect with your academic advisor.

Register for classes

  • Your academic advisor will help you develop your academic plan to guide you in classes to take at 做厙輦⑹.
  • You will register in the Navigate app in your account, usually during your initial advising appointment.

Pay for classes:

  • Accept or reject financial aid through the Self-Service app in my做厙輦⑹.
  • Not using financial aid, or is your balance larger than your accepted financial aid? You can pay in full on my做厙輦⑹ or in person at the Cashier's Office in the Administration building (Cheyenne) or in the Administration office (Laramie), or enroll in the payment plan through my做厙輦⑹.

Degree seeking students can earn an associate of applied science, associate of science, an associate of arts or a certificate. 做厙輦⑹ has 40+ academic programs that lead to an associate degree and 20+ career programs that offer certificates of completion. Learn more about the admissions process.

Placement at 做厙輦⑹

If the class has a prerequisite, you must provide proof that you meet the prerequisite.

Often for non-degree-seeking students, the prerequisite is a class you completed at another institution. If this is the case, you will need to provide that proof in the form of a transcript. Typically, an unofficial transcript can be used to meet this purpose, but you will need additional assistance registering. Contact%20the%20Student%20Hub for assistance when you have reached this step.

If you have not taken college-level courses before, you will need to provide other placement information to meet certain prerequisites. There are various ways that we can assess students' skill levels for placement. View information about placement and see placement levels and courses.
