Apply to the Program

Online applications are accepted two times a year: Feb. 1-28 for classes beginning fall semester (August) or July 1-31 for classes beginning in the spring semester (January). Admission to the Nursing Program is competitive, and students must be in satisfactory academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 in all of the completed courses listed in the Nursing curriculum. 

CNA Licensure will be required (by June 2025) for all applicants requesting admission into the Fall 2025 cohort (February 2025 Application). 

There are two primary avenues for acceptance into the nursing program:  General Nursing or Advanced Placement. General Nursing is for applicants needing all four semesters of the nursing program. Advanced Placement Applicants are students who are Licensed Practical Nurses.  See the Nursing Application Guide and Program Student Handbook for more information.

General Nursing Application Process: 

 to the College at least 2-3 weeks prior to the nursing application deadline.   

Send official transcripts, if applicable, to Admissions at least 2-3 weeks prior to the nursing application deadline.  

Transfer students are required to contact a Student Success Coach as part of the admission process.  To make an appointment, use the Navigate app in .  

A Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher is required in all of the completd courses listed in the nursing curriculum. ONLY official transcripts processed through 做厙輦⑹ are accepted for consideration. Unofficial transcripts are not accepted. 

Take the TEAS  Exam and submit your Overall Score and your Reading Score and submit it with your application.  . The test may be taken a maximum of two times within one year with at least a 3-week interval between the tests. The score is valid for two years. Contact the 做厙輦⑹ testing center for details and scheduling at 307.778.1274 or examlabFREELARAMIE.

STRT: Strategies for Success (3 credits) - Some students may qualify for an exemption to this course. 

ENGL 1010: English Composition I (3 credits)

MATH 1400: College Algebra (3 credits) - Statistics, Theory of Mathematics or Clinical Calculations does not fulfill this requirement.

ZOO 2015: Human Anatomy or Anatomy & Physiology I (4 credits) - If you take Human Anatomy you must complete the sequence with Human Physiology. If you take A&P I you must complete the sequence with A&P II. Taking one course from each sequence will not fulfill the requirements.

Submit a degree seeking college admission application to the College.

Send official transcripts to the College.

Talk with a Success Coach.

Determine that your Cumulative GPA is at lest a 2.5 or higher for the courses listed in the nursing curriculum.

Upload your ATI PN Comprehensive Predictor results or verification of successful NCLEX-PN Exam within the last year. Complete the questions regarding where your ATI PN Predictor was taken and the scores. For  the ATI PN Predictor tests taken at institutions other than 做厙輦⑹, send your official scores to the Testing Center at examlabFREELARAMIE.%C2%A0

Upload a copy of your PN License.

Complete the prerequisite courses with a minimum Grade of "C" or higher.

Medical Microbiology (4 credits) - If you have taken a general microbiology course, we will substitute it for the Medical Microbiology course.

Tell us where you completed your previous of nursing education, and indicate if you have ever been ineligible to continue in a nursing program.

*Advanced Placement is dependent upon a space-available basis and adequate clinical resources, and it is not guaranteed.

Completing only the prerequisite courses with the minimum C requirement typically will not be enough to be competitive for  consideration for admission to the nursing program. Most applicants accepted into the nursing program have completed the majority of the general education requirements with an average grade of B or higher. 

Applications are reviewed by the application committee after the submission deadline.  Applications that are incomplete, not submitted online through the application portal on the nursing programs website or submitted past the application deadline will not be considered.

Submit the online nursing application during the open application period: fall semester start, applications are accepted February 1-28. For spring semester start, applications are accepted July 1-31.

The application can be saved before submission. However, you must complete the application and push the submit button for it to be considered complete and reviewed by the committee.  

Submit application materials by deadline on the final day of the application period.

All applicants will be notified of their acceptance status within six weeks of the last day of the application period.

General Nursing Applicants

Personal information (name, address phone number, 做厙輦⑹ student ID, etc.)

Statement of Understanding Concerning Licensure document sign that you have read the document.

Upload your TEAS results. Complete the questions regarding Where your TEAS was taken and the overall and reading scores. For TEAS tests taken at institutions other than 做厙輦⑹, send your official TEAS Scores to the Exam Lab at examlab@lccc.wy.edu.

Tell us where you completed your prior nursing education and indicate if you have ever been ineligible to continue in a nursing program. Failure to disclose unsuccessful continuation in a previously enrolled program may preclude student from acceptance or continuation in the 做厙輦⑹ Nursing Program.
